PARKING ON SANIBEL
No roadside parking permitted on Sanibel except in designated parking areas. Oversized vehicles are permitted to park in designated parking spots within Bowman’s Beach Parking Lot, the Gulfside City Park, the Lighthouse Beach Parking Area and the Trost Parking Area on the east side of Tarpon Bay Road. Overnight parking is prohibited in all residential/restricted parking areas.
PARKING PERMIT INFORMATION
**VEHICLE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED**Beach Access Parking Permits are available at the Sanibel Recreation Center, 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road during regular hours: Monday – Thursday 6:30 am – 8 pm, Friday 6:30 am – 6:30 pm, Saturday 8 am – 5 pm and Sunday 12 – 5 pm. Permits must be affixed to the lower front windshield on the passenger side.
Parking permit decals/fees:
Resident “A” $12 Taxpayer/Property Owner
Restricted “B” $90 Non-resident
Restricted “C” $90 Resident/Non-resident
Resident “A/C” $102 Resident
Restricted “B/C” $180 Non-resident
Transfer or reissue $3 (residential and restricted)
**Vehicle registration is required to obtain any parking permit.**
REQUIREMENTS FOR OBTAINING “A” RESIDENT PERMIT
ONE OF THE FOLLOWING IS NEEDED:

Valid Florida Driver’s License showing a Sanibel address.

Lee County voter registration card showing a Sanibel address.

Declaration of Domicile showing a Sanibel address.

Tax bill showing homestead exemption for property on Sanibel.

Tax bill showing property ownership on Sanibel.
PARKING REGULATIONS ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED
$50 FINE FOR ILLEGAL PARKING
If paid before 15 days, fine will be reduced to $35. For any changes to your parking application in reference to your vehicle, call the Parking Office to update.
